I feel it is very important to pass on what I have learned. I have had the privilege of studying with some amazing teachers. Throughout the years of my teaching, I have learned to modify and simplify lessons. I teach using one-on-one assistance, helping students to explore their medium and open their eyes and mind. You will be pleased with how your painting experience evolves.
I invite you to join us, beginner and experienced students alike. Come with a willing spirit, do your practice and watch yourself grow!
Watercolor Classes
Learn how to achieve color transitions, use new techniques, and use your imagination.
- If you like painting by the seat of your pants, this class is for you.
- If you like spontaneous painting, this class is for you.
- If you tried it and couldn’t do it, you needed a better instructor; this class is for you.
Oil Painting Classes
Learn how to use your oil paint and brush strokes. This class is meant to help you improve your painting skills. We will work with landscape most, but will tailor the class to your needs. Learn to paint skies, eyes and butterflies.
Drawing Classes
The importance of a good drawing cannot be overemphasized. Learn how to build structure and use spontaneity. We will use various drawing materials and papers to achieve a beautiful surface look. We may use some mixed media. Lessons will teach drawing and painting steps from the beginning to the finished piece.

Design/Composition Classes
I will help you understand the basics of putting your painting together. Learn to put design principles together to find mood, drama, dynamics, and meaning. You may use any medium in this class.

Class Schedules
Classes are usually the second full week of the month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon). Set up time is at 8:30 AM.
Class schedule is January through November (no classes in April, August or December).
